The End
by Sophomore

The End.
A story can’t end over one conflict,
Even if one of the characters is a convict,
I am not known for being brave,
My own heart I try to save,
By that I broke hearts,
Now I have the parts,
It’s not my fault,
They brought our friendship to a halt.

An Erika Collection

Tonight I Write
Tonight I write of sorrow
Of a love I have lost
Of a time when my heart
Was free and heavy and full
I will write of memories
The endless smiles
The countless refrains
The days that seem to go on forever
And the nights we wished would
I will write of eyes that gazed mine
With adoration and wonder
Or of hands, so soft and gentle
A touch so pure
I will write of the times we cried
And yelled and fought and stewed
I will write how we learned
How we grew and changed
I will write of the times
You said those magic words
In actions every day
I will write of the time that
I realized I loved you
Innocent
Young
Scared
Naive
Pure
Messy
True
Real
Love
Poem #2
your weary and forlorn eyes
say more than the
words that tremble
out of your quivering lips
Watch the devil dance in glee
Watch the devil dance in glee
As he twists and turns the key
That buries the demons
And monsters and heathens
That lie within me
Collections of Haikus
You have ruined me
Chewed me up and spit me out
Love is so toxic
Worn piano keys
Dancing rhythmically in time
Plays tunes of memories
They battle fiercely
Revenge, a dish best served cold
Will you drink the cup?
Collections of Haikus #2
Who are the mothers
Whose children run starved and sick
Where is their guardian?
Unwritten stories
Flutter, aching to be told
Broken promises
On an old sailboat,
He waits for her, seeping love
On the edge of time
